The War of the Crown

The war of the world is not for flesh
It isn’t for land or money or control

Turn my eyes upon this breath
Keep my focus upon these bones
Scatter my hope for prosperity
Riddle with fear the children’s path
Blast the mind to conformity

These are the tools of deceptions way
These are the slightest of hand
With loudness and terror
Thrust sorrow and pain for the living
That in our survival we see not

The matters of life and death
Are not of the human making
Played out though before our eyes
From man to man and war to war
Lay tempest of fear and despair

The matters of state
Are not what we think
Played out though as if it is life
From politic rule to fundamental belief
Row oars in vain hope vessel sink

No, brother it is but a show
Though many do die and suffer
The battle itself is not the fight
And the fight itself is not the war
And the war itself is not of earth

Rise up and awaken to what is not seen
Of spirits and powers and antiquity
As life and death is about choice
And the choice is given to spirit
This spirit is what is at stake

We face the enemy we cannot see
Though their chimes are clear as a bell
We wrestle a principle above our heads
Against a knowledge we do not possess
There no such wisdom of man can deter

Guard your thoughts
And fair your feelings
Speak to the God of your fathers
Feed your spirit with goodness and life
Pour out the bitter taste of man’s false hope

For the war of the world
Is not for the world
Indeed it is wholly for you
That you shall not know of a God
Nor discover the light within you

Turn the coin – it is two sides
Throw the box made of six
For deception is deception
Of another deception’s lie
To deceive all regardless of position

Do we think the ruler knows best!
Or is the conformist the man of truth?
Does the rebel have the answer sought?
Maybe the wealthy knew all along?
It must be the poor that sees the goal?

No, not one of any such anything
Is aware of the master behind it
These places were made by man himself
To explain the unexplainable ripple
To align the unacceptable truth

Indeed it is all simply about us
As one of great power does hate
Indeed it is to shatter our spirit
As one of great hate does riddle
Indeed it is to blind us from truth

But there is a truth no one can deny
Of God’s grace in the midst of a storm
Where peace is filled in the heart
And understanding secures the bones
This wisdom awakens the spirit

The Kingdom is here before us
Stepped into at anyones desire
Where life can be life
In the middle of death
As one to another does love

For as we help our fellow
We help also our self
And our sorrows they do slip away
A bond is made while others dissemble
Proof positive power of God

Live in the spirit when flesh is vexed
Think long of goodness and peace
Offer the hand to a fallen soul
That your own become strong
In the realm of the Eternal

The world itself is a show of shows
Created to keep us astray
And they of pride are most deceived
Wrath against life is professional folly
And all who in conflict know not

Give peace and love and joy to all
No matter how far down we fell
These hardships are for our flesh
But it is our spirit that rules over all
And it is the spirit that wins the real war
