The Rise and Fall of Power – The imagery of dragons represents the forces of influence that rise and fall throughout history. Whether in the form of deception, authority, or rebellion, these cycles shape the world and those who follow blindly.

The Deception of Words and Belief – Mankind is trapped in a prison of language and belief, swayed by narratives that distort reality. Both those who believe everything and those who believe nothing fall victim to their own blindness.

The Illusion of Heroes and Villains – What is once condemned is later embraced, and what is feared becomes revered. The same force that destroys can also be worshiped, revealing the fickle and manipulated nature of human perception.

The Ultimate Test of Faith – No one is exempt from the coming trial. Both the righteous and the wicked will face their own self-made contradictions, discovering that their enemy is not external, but within themselves.

The Hidden Truth Beyond the Veil – Despite the grand spectacle of war and prophecy, the deeper truth remains unseen. Those who do not marvel at illusions, who remain humble and discerning, are the ones who will truly see and hear.

The dragon that rises
And the dragon that falls
As from the sea he does lift
As from the sky he does decline

Worn armour as stone upon skin that we know
worn armour as steel upon all that will come
That serpent of old
And that serpent anew

He who was made to watch over the earth
Though he speaks with a tongue as for man
Did tarry his place a deceiver he is
To wage spectacle war save naught but himself

He who was made to come down to us all
Though he speaks with a power of peace
Did visit upon his own shield his delight
That his throne would rule everyones will

Yet more holy than they will reveal a new path
Lo, they too speak not of the truth
As Angels and Demons play out their cast role
To the men who decree without wisdom

Such a sight before us all is to come

And who shall escape the test of their own faith?
Not one – not him who believes, nor him who believes not

As they who do know they do well
Will find they are their own enemy
Taking life from life they provide
And they who know they do harm
Will find they are their own enemy
Taking death from death they provide
And he who discerns one from another
Will find their foolishness profound
And he who discerns not anything at all
Will find their foolishness profound
As both and all before and after
Cannot see the very forgery in their own hand
Nor hear the very deception in their own mouths

But he who marvels not, knows his humility
The very same have eyes and ears

Look to the depths – it is coming
And look to the heavens- it is coming
And look all around are they – even now
But know it’s a play upon words on a scroll
That we see and deny
And we blind do believe
That we fear and take pride
And we rest in a prison

For the villain of old is the hero to come
In the heart of the man who believed all
And the destroyer of him is the very same soul
In the heart of the man who believed nothing
As dragon upon dragon do war before men
Shall the world turn on a dime
To a beautiful dream of a most terrible sleep

As none of it, any of it
Reveals anything at all
Of a truth
