De la Muerte a la Vida
With eager blindness
We strive for self deception
With persona insensata magnified
We master all manner of worthlessness
For my enemies are older than man
Superior to the realm of man’s tongue
And they of that place who seek my life
Are as towers of fire before the frailty of man
What can man say or do against another
Whom God has delivered from Death?
He who walks in the hell of darkness
Who has counted every step of it
That we should stumble upon it
That made all places which are not real
And commanded lies as though they are truth
With sweet promises of blasphemy
And He who has great strength of will
Who set the stars and made dreams
That man would fall to them in slumber
Forever chasing his own tail in misery
For that which he will never find
Delusional to the very end of himself
And He who turned greatness
To abject powerlessness
and joy to utter sorrow
and peace to unending war
Who deceived the mighty to destruction
And the righteous to depraved godlessness
He who entered into all
Who believe themselves just
While speaking all forms of curses
Trusting themselves as glorified
Knowing not they have been buried
Inside their very own flesh!
This who no man can overcome
Old and Wise and Cunning
Lurking always in every corner
Portraying light to hide his shadow
That we would cover our eyes from it
Speaking temptation in every word
THIS is he
Whom Another has delivered me from
Far and away, exposed and witnessed
That eyes would be open to the spirit
And ears would hear the insanity of it
That humility of truth would reveal it
For what mightier gratitude
Can one have than for He
Who has snatched away the enemy of life
And encompassed Himself around us
That we would be free of the endless foe
Whom man worships without knowledge?
And what can be spoken by another
That it would measure the pain of the enemy?
For man’s scoldings are as a nat
Buzzing the ear, easily swatted away
While the true enemy roars with all vengeance
From all the earth even to the heavens
And to they for whom
The Father has gathered
Even that dragon is silent
And bound to a distant land
Only able to use his slaves
Who have given themselves over to death
This to why we pray for man who curses
And we pray for man who makes war
And we pray for man who condemns
And we pray for man who abuses
And we pray for man who accuses
For all who do so are agents of their enemy
And though that enemy of life
Dwells freely within them
They are still the weakness
Of flesh and blood
Unable to be beyond their limits
With only their voice to mutter insanity
As nothing can stand against
The Most High
No one can overrule Life
For unholiness cannot overtake the Holy
Just as an empty cup cannot fill another
And the unrighteous cannot harm the Righteous
Just as a flightless bird cannot fly
Even a living nat is mightier than a dead bear
And to all the horror and vile destitution
I myself did partake with considerable intent
Meeting the very dragon whom had bested me
Still was it as nothing
For my God and Father to release me
That I would walk healed and awaken
Who then can speak against Life within us
That we would be wounded by it?
For it is not myself that is of that Power
But the Power of God within me
And it is not myself that is Holy and True
But it is God within Who has made it so.
As he who walks with self pride
Proves his own foretold destruction
As pride is of self – and no other power
So too does he who humbly seeks God
Ensure his own Eternal Life
As God is Life and God is all Power
