Though I cry out to Thee with harsh words my Lord,
my grievance is not with You, God.

For it is the lack within of knowledge,
the absence of wisdom,
the falter of faith which plex my heart.

That I would know Your grace is my cry
That I would know Your heart is my dream
That I would know Your truth is my cause

For I stand in a world forgotten of You
Speaking endlessly of riddles and lies
Where priest betray Your Word
And righteous men abandon Your Spirit
And holy men accuse as an adversary
With prophets casting shadows
Where Your light belongs
Lifting up themselves
Holding down Your children
That they dwell in darkness all

My wrath is borne of poverty within
That few are my Brothers now
Oh how I miss their enthusiasm
How dearly I miss their faith
What sorrow it is we are scattered to the wind
As the world falls under the great spell
Of the wicked

But my spirit walks not alone
For You have given me a place of safety
Amongst my fellows of resurrection
Where utter death is restored to life
Even so, as Your promise made true

That You have delivered me from darkness
That You have protected and sheltered those who call upon Your Name
That You have remembered them daily
As they too have remembered You
And the great blessings of Spirit delivered unto them

May I praise You Lord
That Your perfection restores my brokenness
And Your love restores my desire for life
That Your gift mends what could not be fixed
And Your revelation awakens what slept
To my eyes that see Your wonders
And my ears that hear Your message
Though the mind does drift absent of wisdom
And the flesh does seek absent of life
You have given my heart its true calling
And gilded my Spirit with Holy Armour

You, my Lord, have been faithful and true
As I atone in the fellowship of the spirit
From minute to minute
Hour to hour
Day to day
In Your pace besides Your steps
Do I walk with You and trust in You
With all that of myself do lack
