I live in Your Word
And dream in Your Spirit
With holiness and peace
Am I renewed by Your Love
What am I that life should be found?
Or that Your heart You did offer to me?
Yet in my humbling was I lifted up
To hear the Words of my Father
How excellent in all Your works
How gracious and kind in manner
How wonderful and peaceful Your way
How blessed and prosperous we are
For You have taken the fallen
And set them on their feet
And the blind have You restored
That they may see truth and beauty
For You have taken the wicked
And cleansed their darkness
So that their wrath became forgiveness
As You filled them with Your spirit
How in the days of my life
Could I not see Your hand always?
For even that which was an error
Has become a great strength
And that which was a sorrow
Did You transform into living waters
Oh how my heart longs for Your word
And my spirit calls out to Your wisdom
Even my bones have seen Your mercy
Even my soul thirsts for righteousness
As he who once dwelled within me
Convinced me to turn away
Did You instead answer my folly
With mercy and justice and truth
Hear now my heart, oh God
That You did form to release us
For many brothers seek also
And many children do cry out
Visit Your mercy upon them
Deliver Your comforter to them
As so many fall away
Many others do look to You
As we witness our fellows in pain
And hear the sorrow of the poor
As deception has become law
And pride has become truth
In this world that has forgotten peace
Are we in faith of Your Love
And pray always for Your family
For You have made me to be Yours
And I have returned to Your home
Sending messenger and hope
To they still wondering the deserts
As not one of great station
Or even one of low ability
Is loved any less by You
Nor are they unworthy of life
As You have proven through Grace
That Your love covers all error
And Your worth paid all costs
Watch over the lost and bewildered
Restore courage and peace to them
For even tomorrow it may be me
As I am not wise without You
And easily mislead without Your Love
Forgive those who are deceived
And remember Your promise to them
For You did teach of these to us
And we too have seen their worth
And You have given to us
As they are also hungry for truth
Oh how beautiful and perfect
Is Your rest you provide
How wonderful and grand
Are Your teachings
May we always honor and remember You
In the faces and lives of our fellows
