Peace is of The Spirit
The Illusion of Justice Through Man Seeking righteousness from an unjust world is futile, as true justice and mercy come not from human laws but from a heart aligned with God.
The Power of Choice Each individual must choose between retaliation and surrender, between demanding fairness from others or entrusting their needs to God’s will.
The Futility of Seeking Good from Evil Expecting righteousness from those who lack it is a misunderstanding of the nature of both man and justice; true solutions come from turning to God rather than relying on broken systems.
God as the Source of True Peace Lasting peace cannot be found in intellect, argument, or force, but only in surrender to God, who knows our needs and holds all things in His hands.

Peace is of The Spirit
My spirit seeks out peace
While my flesh plots justice
My spirit seeks out brotherhood
While my flesh plots judgment
My spirit seeks out humility
While my flesh plots hubris
Who am I but he who must choose?
From moment to moment
Event to event
Thought to thought
Word to word
Action to action
For the path of the wise
Is illuminated in the spirit
And no other place is wisdom found
Yet convince a man it is so!
Ya, convince myself even
Of that I know but wish not to!
For the path of the man
Is darkened by self desired concern
And no other place is idiocy found
Yet convince a man it is so!
Ya, convince myself even
Of that I know but wish not to!
For it is the flesh that seeks justice
As the spirit is already just and kind
And the flesh that cries – WRONGS!
As the spirit already forgives
And the flesh that grows tired
As the spirit awakens to its choice
Once again
Oh how we cry that our needs be met
As another in flesh does take away
And oh how we rail and lash out
At the crimes of those who abuse
And oh how we demand recompense
For the labor of our life is squandered!
And of course, we are correct!
For it is true that man destroys man
By concerning itself with itself
By taking what it can from you
By lying all it wants to you
By punishing you for not being them
By rank and right and all foolishness!
Yet it is true – we abuse each other
And all in the name of a better world.
For whom?
Ourselves alone & no other
Save those we believe we love
As we impose our idea upon them
Why do we linger on this nonsense?
Am I not making an other my god
By proclaiming they must fix my life?
Am I not relinquishing my power
By expecting yours to be just for me?
Am I not stuck in flesh alone
When I demand flesh make it right?
How stupid can I be!!
Wouldn’t a man already be just
If he were to have justice to give?
Wouldn’t a man already be honest
If he were to speak honestly to me?
So why do I seek good from evil?
No – I am the one who must choose
Shall I choose the wrath of my bones
To force other bones to obey mine?
Shall I choose with the law of man
Which is known by fools to be broken
To force bad man (I judged) to be good
With tools that are exceptionally insane?
How base and low and detrimental
Yet to these bones it is righteous!
How chronically shortsighted
Yet to this flesh it is normal humanity
How powerless to wait on man
For answers they themselves riddled!
No again – so I must choose
And I choose to give you choice
By speaking these needs and wants
Directly to my fellow brother
That he may right or amend
For his own sake and not mine
But his choice is his
And he shall answer either way
For nothing is unseen to spirit
As nothing is unknown to God
And all in our hearts is on display
Before all who dwell in spirit
But of that man shall I not rely
Nor any woman or child or beast
For the children of God are a joy to all
And the children of darkness far from it
As they of life exude life beyond flesh
And they of flesh exude self
And of the seeking of answers
Shall I turn instead to God
For from God are all things made
From God are all things given
From God are all things possible
From God are all things of life
If I do not have the answers required
For the understanding of my own life
Than who among us can speak?
Only they who walk also with God
Only they who seek also of God
Only they who also know they need God
To God shall be my prayer and my hope
And no longer in the whiles of intellect
To God shall be my plea of the flesh
And to God shall I rest that hope
For of my needs – are His concern
For of my wants – He already knows
As it is God who truly loves us
And we can barely love ourselves
Thinking we love and know love
As we argue amongst ourselves
As we force our way upon others
While God waits for us to go to Him
My spirit knows this Father
As my bones deny from lack and pain
My heart would not seek at all
If it wasn’t already aware of peace
My spirit and life is in Your hands
As it has always been – while I was blind.
