Presents tonight
In the hopes and dreams
Of a people
Where we’ve been
Where we go
Marks a turn of the flow
For the unknown path we lay
Oh Light of the world
Hear our wide open hearts
So our wish is a prayer
In Your ears
Mark the day and the night
To the east and the west
For the young and the old
As they play
May the new year begin
With a faith of our souls
That we make what we made
As a blessing
Set away our past faults
Open eyes to a hope
That this year may become
Our relief
Bring Angels, bring love
Restore humanities goal
So the people may thrive
Once again
On this night we do pray
That we now find our way
Back to peace and prosperity’s
Grace
Looking back, looking forward
With honor and intent
In humility of family
And children
Heal our lands and our waters
Heal our hearts and our minds
Heal our spirit with truth
That we may live right
Forget not the joy of yesterday
Rise up the joy today
Bring goodness and peace
To our neighbours
May your blessings be bold
And your efforts be sound
May your future ahead
Fit your purpose
For once we were lost

To a much brighter day
