Hamlet Prayer
To the heavens I direct my words
To the founder of life do I seek
To the Father of my Lord
And the origin of every peace
Lo, are many fallen into fear in the place where I dwell. For days have I witnessed men run in desperate anguish, where none but their own thoughts betray them. Torn up by fright and fetter, fleeing where none pursue. Lashing out at one another without cause, injuring all they encounter with paranoia and suspicion. Luring the unsuspecting into snares of their own imaginings.
Where they who once smiled, now lurk in darkness waiting to accuse. They who speak friendly do so now with false intent. And they who once sought friend turns to seek wrath betwixt fellows. Even unto banishment of they who have spoken not at all. It is as though a plague has entered our villages.
Where fact will not be seen, and evidence will not considered, given to instead the fear within their own hearts to beliefs of non existent terror. How powerfully are they eaten up by their own anger knowing not it is founded deeply in self fear and self distrust and personal powerlessness. When brother cannot admonish brother to uphold him back to his strength, as he who hears is deaf but to their fear of failure.
Was I not also as these God, when you lifted me up? Was I not worse than all of these who have actually tried to make a life for themselves in community and togetherness? For you God know I was a vile and wicked man of terrible wrath and great worldly power before my fall long ago. Yet you rose me up from my own ashes and restored my spirit back to a place of hope.
God give hope to these friends and give greater hope to these who are now enemies amongst each other. For they know not the depth of the pit they are digging, nor the great and powerful sorrow that comes from falling into it. They know not the tree they have planted and the painful fruit thereof they shall eat of it. For if I could find favor and mercy in your eyes when I was clearly an enemy of life… how greater deserving are they who have tried to create life though now blinded to it?
Even more, to the innocent and unseen amongst them all, who by focus of darkness and unconscious awareness of the backlash do suffer at the hands of they who have fallen to their own destruction. Who by doing good are they punished and by giving of service are they accused of wrong doing. What madness is this God if not utter insanity? Turn away the eyes of the oppressor from their target, and empower the oppressed with undeniable blessing. Give them safety and peace and hope. Especially the little ones who cannot protect themselves from the cursed spirit befallen man in this time. Take them on wings of the eagle and feed them from your everlasting garden of greatness.
I have spoken to many of my brothers in far off places and in various cities and towns around the world. All are witness to this emerging darkness and confusion. Where the spirit of they who they once knew is over taken by a another spirit unholy and fearful. Remove the uninvited guest within the temple of man that has overtaken them.
I have witnessed the life of this little place for the time you have allotted, and I have seen the honest desire in the founding of it that all should prosper in peace and integrity and community. If it be your will Father, restore what was meant to be and bring mercy and truth to those who suffer pain in the darkness of their own choices… and more also for they who suffer at the hands of them… just as you had done for others. Far greater is the sorrow of the innocent.
Even now can I hear the denial of the heart of those who lurk in darkness, because of their fear, and the hardening of their heart as they judge love to be as pride and earnest prayer to be a calculation. For these are of their spirit and the works of their own hands. Condemning them to blindness of truth because of the darkness that overtook them. Please release them father.
These things I bring before Your throne and Your judgment. Indeed do I trust in Your choice, for not one thing is outside of Your will, yet in Your kindness do give ear to Your children who speak. For what could I say of myself before You if not in prayer also for my enemies as with my friends? Our brothers are falling, and they who are not of our brothers… can we only sorrow for what personal internal terror lies before them. May they choose life once again.
Amen
