The Temptation of Solomon
Look to my eyes
Take in that which you see
If at all given to you
That there be oceans of heaven’s light
And in a blink
The pit of the bottomless darkness
Who can encompass the endlessness?
Or speak the language of the dead?
Tell me who does cherish the realm of nothingness?
And who can comprehend the matter without thought?
Again, that it is, who does measure the heavens?
For angles parade before the throne of my instruction
And demons obey my every desire
Awareness and sight has been given unto me
Authority of my word builds empires
And in a turn of my desire, lay them waste
Not at all because of self
For what is given cannot be taken
And what is taken cannot be had
What is sought after cannot be stolen
And what is denied cannot be buried
Nor is it a matter to what you perceive
In amongst all do I choose the revelation
As my kingdom and seat is given
By the everlasting realm which cannot be seen
That I may walk among all man as nothing
And before the face of the self righteous
I am only the image of their judgment
Without desire of their acknowledgement of what actually is
Nor desire to convince they of foreign thought
For shadows are the foundation of my feet
And the everlasting, the kingdom of my consciousness
As God is my Father and source
That all temptation may be known
So to these, are they all of the world
The ways of man, and the ways of the dead
For what they do not have
Must they have your acknowledgement they have
And what another does have
Must you agree on their denial of them that they do not
Look then to the world and make witness of these:
As it is the perpetuator who claims the victim
And the foolish who boast of their own
As they who have no power, seek power
And they who have no claim, seek possession
The mocker reveals their lack and jealousy
The prideful reveal their powerlessness
As they who are given power, seek not what they have
Nor does the full stomach desire food
And they who desire to be obeyed
Have the least of all foundation
In their hand has no authority been given
And neither do they have authority even of themselves
For not one can see what is before their eyes
When they are motivated by fear
And not one can create what is within their heart
When they are motivated by what they do not have
Such that these spoken are not understood
But by they who it has been revealed
Who can see the heavens when looking in the pit?
And who can make a thing with an empty hand?
The greater the offence of a matter
The greater the lack of wisdom
And the greater the cry of the offended
The greater the lack of intellect
It is only the powerless
Who must convince you of their power
It is only the foolish
Who must to convince you of their wisdom
It is only the weakest
Who must convince you of their strength
It is only the wicked
Who must convince you of their righteousness
It is only the irrelevant
Who must convince you of their worth
Oh, the empty heart that must be first
As they must gain all acknowledgement from another
Having nothing of their own
Oh, the sleeping spirit that must be proud
As they must gain all recognition from another
Having no glory of their own
Consider now what God has revealed to you
As Even these words are as nothing of themselves
Even the temptation of them is worthless to truth
Casting bitterness into the mouths of the hardend heart
That they spit them out and rebuke
While opening the eyes of the humble
That they may taste the fine fruit
Only because of the command of God
Are both receiving what they have
And only by the Will of God
Is all understanding and light
Or darkness and soul hunger
Revealed to your experience
As the wise contemplates the meaning of why
So too does the chooser of death
cast blame upon all life, but themselves.
That which you seek, you shall find
That the seekers of life have life for all
And the seekers of punishment, find their own
And that which you desire, shall be given to you
That the desire of creation, shall grow mountains of love
And those who desire your destruction shall have their own
As pride is the master of all liars
Visiting all, daily, unseen, wanting
Blinding the greatest even to the least
So too is God the master of all pride
Welcome to all daily, and the only source of life
Giving light to the temptation of it
