Rocks

Today there are rocks coursing through my skin.
The air is foul,
The mind is clouded,
The light is damning.
It is a good day to ignore.

I dwell on the night Air.
How fresh is the night?
Its cool breezes awaken me,
Release me,
Replenish me,
Restore me.

What an awesome experience to share with another.
To stare into the stars of the night sky,
To walk in the moonlight,
To perceive the silence,
To be surrounded by wildlife,
To escape the presence of mankind.

I am a creature of the night,
I welcome the day to bring me rest.
In its safety and warmth I may sleep.
The sunrise brings beauty and comfort.
The sunset enlightens me to another night.
