Never Ending Story
If I were eternal,
Surely I would be creative
In designing new realities
To experience.
If I were eternal
Truly it would be interesting
To forget who I was
And think I was something else.
If I were eternal
No doubt I would leave a way
To escape the new reality
And return to the fullness
If I were eternal
Surely I would have unlimited power
Even enough
To limit my power for a time.
If I were eternal
Truly I would place
A most interesting game
Upon the board of life I set myself.
If I were eternal
No doubt I would want
To make you part of my game
And join with you to play
If I were eternal
Surely I would love you
Because I would not want to forget
How much we mean to each other.
If i were eternal
Truly we would find each other
And experience this new world together
With our limited selves.
If I were eternal
No doubt our love
Would remind us of our true selves
And bring us closer to the Heavens
If I were eternal
Surely our enemies would be programs
Designed to make the experience real
Though they have always been at our feet.
If I were eternal
Truly clues would be everywhere
In legend and story and song
Of our everlasting spirit, and source from where we come.
If I were eternal
No doubt we would laugh
When looking back
At the roles we did play in our life.
Truly I am eternal
Formed from that which is Eternal
Breathed into by that which is Eternal
A Living example of the Eternal.
Surely I am eternal
As the spirit of my Forefathers lives on
As the soul of creativity progresses
As the Heart of Love has always suggested.
No Doubt I am eternal
We feel it in our Embrace
We see it in our Eyes
We know it in our Secret Places
I thank God, the Originator
Who anchors me there
In truth, assurance and without doubt
That I am as a son
On this Earth for a time
Until such time
I am returned to the Eternal Promise
Of our inheritance and home
Which has been with us all
Eternally.
