Awaken Me

Life is like a series of awakenings
followed by sleep.

What do we know in a beautiful thought or a memory
but an awakening then to our sleep now?

What do we dream of in our honest heart
but an awakening inside contrasting our outer sleep?

The awakened need not seek
searches not for learning
wants not for something more
toils not in vain
cries not in sorrow.

The sleeping dream in the day
of what they knew
what they had
what they seek
what they desire.

The awakened are within their desires.

I sleep the walking sleep in a land of hellish turmoils
and dream the dream of our beloved embraces.

I live in the moments of our awakened touch
to never forget, to never let go,
to remember and keep it holy.

Truly my sleep is terrible darkness and screams
and laws and taxes and borders and rules.

Truly when I awake you have always been there
and all that there is with this simple man.

My eyes peer into your glances
my bones feel your forces
my soul reaches yours.

I studder and shake to wake up
YES there is no meaning to the sleeping life
yes the sheep have been counted again
as we drift into the sleep of futility’s days.

War is the world of the sleeping.

Peace and Joy and Bliss and Heaven
unbridled these are to the awakened.

See I know of the image in the mirror.
The slumberer is not the Soul.
I sleep as a twisted shadow of myself.

Awaken my Love
Remember

We are as the notes of a song
the mist of the waterfall
the soaring of the wind upon a mountain.
Our reality is one of absolute surrender
where more then we could ever desire
rages to life in intimate eternities.

Awaken me from my sleep
as the world calls for it’s due payment
and the taskmasters call for their due homage
and the judges judge everyone with speak
and the restless wonder seeking oblivion
and the warmongers devise destruction!

How aweful the pain of sleep!
I sleep as a dragon.

Awaken me to our true life
given to us by the shores of deep waters
When we counted every drop of rain
and saw the heavens in a leaf
Where we both know completness
in everything.

I dream in my sleep of our waking moments.

We have slept the sleep of perpetual exhaustion
and must awaken again to perpetual rest.

Our table is full
the cups overflow
our feast awaits our command.

Our love is everlasting.

Rise and Shine.
