Returning Home

There is a place in us all that we call home.
Many of us are as yet unaware of what home is.
Even so, we all know something inside us we call home.

To some it is the search for Heaven,
and reserved only for the time after our earthy departure.

To some it is the place where our family resides,
and our possessions can be found.

To some it is a place of solitude,
private, simple and beautiful.

To some it is the very lap of God,
where they sit and hear stories from God about the nature of life.

To some… home is a place they seek,
but believe they will never find.

To others… home is a place of worship,
where they wonder if they know home.

To many of us, Home is an idea of comfort, rest, food, warmth, security, tranquility, and eternity.

We have brothers and sisters who think back about their home,
and they grew up in a place which lacked all these elements,
And they know it, because it was not what they thought HOME is.

We also have brothers and sisters who were blessed to feel
their own youth provided the simple pleasures of HOME
in their hearts.

Each of us has the idea of home,
because HOME is ALL of those things we think they are.

Home is the accumulation of every souls ideas combined.

Home is our inheritance, and it is always welcome to us.
If it were not so, we would not desire a real home of our own.

I smiled at a man recently, who went Home to his Spirit.
He did not wait for home to be provided for him,
He brought HOME with him wherever he went.

His idea of warmth, comfort, welcome, and charitable actions,
brought the feeling of HOME to many people he encountered.
Old folks and young all knew of his Jolly Spirit.
The Town of his life remembers him for these thanksgivings.

And this is the lesson of Home that has been his ultimate gift.
To anyone who knew him, they knew his home.

Home is its purest sense, in its rawest truth, is our very soul,
as they say, “home is where the heart is”.
Our words and our actions reflect the home in which we all live.
That which we bring, and that which we do, is from our spirit.
Our spirit must endure the places we create by the works of our life.
It is found in US, and how we live, that we express our home to everyone.

Wayne… is now “Home” in its fullness of his Soul.
But he was home right here on earth as well.
He gave us his home, and the love of his household,
Because he knew where he wanted his Spirit to live always.
He welcomed everyone Home.

Today in this day, there are others who have gone before him.
There has been his family, his son, his friends and neighbors who loved him.
They have all felt the Home he created on Earth while they were here.
Now, to Wayne, with our blessing and our return Call with them…
We all say..

Wayne… Welcome HOME to YOU.
May you be given ALL that you have given to us,
In everlasting abundance.
