That all Men should be so Lucky
From the past I have forgotten greatness and peace,
for this peace now is above everything before it.
From this olden trail I have forgotten Stones,
for the stones now line and decorate my gardens.
What do we have?
What do we possess?
What is in our hands?
What is truly ours?
Everything I know has faded and lied.
Everything I held I myself gave to a thief.
Everything I dreamed had revealed its dreaminess.
Everything I desired fell short.
Everything I wanted produced lack.
Save one.
Is it that I am too young to really understand?
Is it that I am too old to really burn with Passion?
None of these are true.
None of these are true.
In lasting a lifetime my past was unreal,
the sorrows were manufactured,
the peace was a joke,
the rest was a facade,
the glory was shallow,
the happiness tainted by that which I knew to be unfinished.
Lackluster lost little limp lay-about!
For now my eyes are opened.
Now there be rest assured, and tested and true.
Now there be peace alive, and tested and pure.
Now there be Glory, ALONE! and happier then all that needs be shared.
Now there be sorrows of Passion, and OH are they real.
Now there be Happiness undefinable, indescribable, and Humble.
One may say that we own what we think we own.
And we experience what we THINK we experience,
and we know what we think we know,
and we understand what we think we understand.
But I have stood before the Mocker,
and felt the lash of the whip,
And I too as YOU have know fruitlessness.
Who is it who can say that pain is not pain?
Who is it who can say that Joy is not Joy?
Therein do All men find their own truth,
and all who desires and wants tries to take it from them.
But my friends know themselves, and yet seek to discover their truth.
SO I shouted and spoke,
That this was enough.
And took into my arms that woman I love.
I looked into her eyes, spoke the truth of all my entitlement.
Oh yes… what a word… entitlement!
How arrogant and lofty such a thing.
But let me say, my brothers and friends,
That in my heart I have Greatness for you ALL.
I love you and Honor your life and know you are Kings to the world.
Not one of you Fallen has broken my heart,
Not one of you sick, has lost my respect,
Not one of you dismayed or confused has been subject to judgement.
Unto the end I clear my consciousness of such things.
For unto the end… I do pray we all arise to our eternity.
So I say still unto you,
that from the lies of my past,
to the silliness of the moment,
to the truth of the future….
It is NOW that I have held onto Reality.
And it is now that this dream has become manifest.
For unto Now before me is the eternity of my love with another.
