Solemn Reflection

In a world full of vain images, who remembers the source? In a world full of false noise, who can hear the sweet song? When our preachers defile their station, and our leaders forget their people, where do we take comfort? When the men of former sound mind shoot wildly in the dark at matters of health with baseless psychology and social propaganda, who can know their center? When the spiritual guides of the earth are founded in themselves for their-selves as their only teaching tool, how can anyone bond in spirit? When the prophets of the world speak from their own heart what they devise to be good and righteous, knowing not any other source of power, nor even giving ear to their fellows, who can follow and be free? When our philosophers have lost all courage to examine the nature of reality and experience, seeking instead to shine a light upon themselves of their own fantastic manifestations that they themselves do not even believe, what is left to seek?

When the desire of the world is for self gain, in ALL things, believing that to be what brings fulfillment and purpose, who shall ever remember love?

As it is true and has been since time began, the import of the poet and the artist is to secure, defend and protect the ORIGINAL nature of all creation, not only in what is physical, but emotional, mental, spiritual and unquantifiable, spoken in conceptual parable and principled metaphor in the revelation of such matters definable and undefinable, which purposes the need and desire for such. So too must the basic fact of life be upheld and remembered, lest all works of God be forgotten before our very eyes.

And to that end:

Truth does not bend to our feelings, nor alters course for our wishes. Love does not weaken itself in disguise as compassion to hide and deny our fear and ignorance. An offering seeks no return, needs no recognition, and asks no reward.

For if we make a covenant of love, it is true that we will often wound that covenant with immaturity, ignorance, or a moment of self will. But it is ONLY when we no longer DESIRE truthfully to uphold the covenant of love that we have forfeit our right in the covenant and become liar and deceiver to they we claim to love.

As He who no longer DESIRES to seek to forgive, is he who does not love at all, but forfeit love for the greater desire of prideful judgment. In that have we set ourselves to be greater and more important than another life, telling ourselves of our greatness and our self righteousness, while condemning another to isolation and punishment of non-worthiness of forgiveness. To cease to WANT to forgive our husbands and wives, mates and partners, is to be an emotional adulterer and makes them an emotional adulterer by living in a false reality of love that doesn’t exist. It is not love, and we are liars.

If we no longer DESIRE to actively seek to uphold the freedom, respect and joy of another, instead with the desire of molding or shaping them into OUR image, then we have turned away from love, and embraced arrogance and pride, once again believing ourselves to be superior and they unworthy of their own choice and life. We are their judge and not their lover. It is not love.

If, with our lover, we no longer DESIRE to open ourselves, giving freely and openly of ourselves, instead wanting to withhold, wanting to take away, seeking reasons to be closed off, we have forfeit love entirely and have no authority in our complaint. For in our heart we desire to punish and harm and cause isolation in another because of our judgment of their unworthiness. There will always be times of discomfort and trouble, sickness and inability to be open… even for long times, to which our partners and lovers would in real love desire to comfort and heal and offer all understanding, in patience and care for us while we cannot be open. But they who no longer DESIRE to be open are jailers to the life of another and have stolen their life from them.

For they who DO love, WANT to forgive, want to defend, want to uphold, want to comfort, want to understand, want to be responsible for their own wrongs, want to bring peace, want to speak kindness, want to find another beautiful, want to liberate another, and want to please another as all goodness and all things of love are pleasing and lovely. These desires are true in their heart or they are not. Love is righteousness.

And they who DO NOT love, want to judge, want to blame, want to seek wrongs, want to condemn, want to lash out, want to withhold, want to punish, want to find fault, want to isolate, want to make others responsible for their own wrongs, want to control another, want to ridicule, want to belittle, and want to praise themselves. ALL of these desires are wholly unrighteous.

Every one of us will make all of those mistakes in our actions and words in the course of our life, to which IF WE LOVE, we will acknowledge our wrongs, “repent” of them, and amend our works in compassion for another. But the difference between those who are TRUE and RIGHTEOUS in love, and those who are NOT, is found in the desire and intent of their heart and will.

For Love is not painful, nor rejecting, nor judgmental. Loss of love is painful. And compassion and understand are the foundation of love. Fear is what is painful, rejecting and judgmental. And Pride and denial are the foundation of it. The fruit of all love is wisdom and eternal life, and the fruit of all pride is destruction and death.

For they who seek and want what is righteous and good, even though they are in utter darkness and abusive because of the sickness of the world in them… are greater than they who shine righteousness and greatness before the whole world, but in their heart seek selfishly.

Every tear shed in the hope and desire for righteousness, hidden to the world, in abject isolation and pain, is known to God and will be answered with love. And every prideful lie before the whole world is also known to God and will be answered with truth.
