Perfection?
I am not perfect
But love is perfect
I am not sane
But honesty is sane
I am not wise
But forgiveness is wise
I am not understanding
But acceptance is understanding
I am not righteous
But humility is righteous
I am not powerful
But an open mind is powerful
I am not at harmony
But peace is harmony
I am not serene
But prayer is serene
I am not the creator of life
But God is Life
A man shall not walk the earth
Alone
With perfection of steps and faith
Nor with godliness strive
To master the faults before him
For the realm of acting perfect
Is the toil of the darkness
And the futile act of pride
Hidden in the lie of imperfection
To deceive us of our worth
As alone am I dry bones
And unable to accomplish
This, that I may find a truth
And seek out a greater power
Who has established all life
For the principles of man
Are for show and false exclusive
That he would be a powerless god
Knowing not his source of failure
Punishing self of his inner pride
But the principles of God
Are perfect in every detail
Founded always in love and life
Turning us away from self deception
Awakening our spirit to our real self
