Understanding is of the flesh
While wisdom is of the spirit
He who understands a thing
Does so through experience
As victim and victor
As fool and professor
Time and circumstance do reveal
Effort and condition do require
As knowledge can be taught
But action displays the results
Understanding benefits all
It is seen by all who desire to look
It can prepare and make the way
It can uphold and guide the young
He who has wisdom of a thing
Has recieved it from on High
As experience educated the flesh
Likewise God educates the spirit
Humility and prayer do petition
Honesty and intent do require
As wisdom desires to be given
But only to those of pure heart
Wisdom benefits all
Though it is rarely seen by others
Deeply personal to he who has received
And cherished by him quietly
For the experience of a man
Is for the man
That he may prosper on earth
That he may join others in peace
And the gift of wisdom from God
Is for the spirit
That he may be called a son of God
That he may live in the will of Life
Gain experience of this life
Learn all there is to know from it
Gain understanding in your days by it
Pass on what has value, to others
Some will hear and some will not
Ask for wisdom in your heart
Let your voice speak of its hope
Align yourself with the humility of life
Pass on what God has taught you
Some will scoff, most won’t see
