Oh, Great!
The Transience of Human Understanding What we hold as truth today may be revealed as false tomorrow, and the quest for certainty is undermined by the ever-changing nature of human perception.
The Isolation of Profound Emotion Those who deeply feel and love are often confronted with separation, as their desire for connection can paradoxically highlight their own solitude.
The Inescapable Reality of Flesh and Spirit Human limitations and impermanence cannot be ignored, yet those who recognize both the darkness and light within themselves can begin to understand the greater mystery of existence.
The Power of Surrender True peace and strength are found not in resisting suffering but in surrendering to truth, embracing reality, and letting go of judgment—allowing for a greater connection to spirit and life itself.

Oh, Great!
With great knowledge
Comes great questions
With great intellect
Comes great confusion
With great heart
Comes great loneliness
With great passion
Comes great heartache
With great wisdom
Comes great sorrow
With great love
Comes great isolation
With great surrender
Comes great life!
No man can know
The knowledge of the world
And not be perplexed by it
For the truth we know today
Are the lies we know tomorrow
And the desire for confidence
Suffers the reality of man’s transience
No man of genius can consider
The realities of all he surveys
Without getting lost in paradox
For the esteem by which he relies
Becomes the disparaging fact
And the desire for reconciliation
Creates pride to hide its futility
No man can feel deeply
The lives of all around him
Without discovering our separation
For the desire of his hope
Becomes the modal of impossibility
And the need for his connection
Itself forms his own separation
No man can create
With depth and power and purpose
Without his flesh and spirit both
For the drive within to explore deep
Is foundational to all his relations
And the hope of shared experience
Reveals the lack of his skill to do so
No man given strong wisdom
Can deny the discernment exposed
As sound reason faces insanity
For the enormity of his experience
Reveals the path & cost of all endings
And the prayer in his heart for peace
Is confronted by the will of the ignorant
No man of profound love
Can stand by with idleness of spirit
At the needs and wants of life
For the origin of love is spirit
While needs and wants are of man
And the gift of the spirited love
Become the demands of those lacking
All that we know, contemplate & create
And all we feel, give & experience
Cannot escape the fact of flesh
Or the impermanent paradigms of man
And they who found themselves
Thrust into true greatness of spirit
Witness the reality of dark and light
Within all – including himself
And the unknown power of life
Becomes the only reality true
But he who in his sorrow and pain
Sets down his judgement of his life
And sets down the judgment of others
Surrendering instead that hell to truth
And admitting that misery to reality
Empowers himself to greater life
And strengthens himself
To greater spirit
For that which is temporary
Cannot answer what is eternal
But that which is spirit and life
Has all answers sought for flesh
And for the spirit within
Lo, in the end
It is all that we actually have
