In the Name of God?

The Contradictions of WorshipExplores humanity’s conflicting depictions of God, from a bringer of war and suffering to a source of peace and creation, highlighting the struggle to reconcile these differences within the same divine framework.

The Injustice of Divine ClaimsQuestions the morality of actions taken in the name of God, such as war, denial, and suffering, juxtaposing them with the natural order and abundance of life on Earth, which seemingly contradicts such purposes.

The Influence of PerspectiveReflects on the limitations of human perception in understanding the divine, emphasizing how cultural, spiritual, and intellectual biases shape individual and collective beliefs about God and righteousness.

The Complexity of Divine JusticeChallenges the idea of a singular divine justice, suggesting that gods representing different principles—war, peace, creation, and destruction—each operate on their own moral framework, beyond human comprehension.

The Call for Self-ExaminationUrges readers to reflect on their relationship with their beliefs, asking whether they truly embrace their chosen deity or whether they seek another. It emphasizes the importance of individual awakening over blind adherence.

In the Name of God?

The greatest knowledge in all this world
can be found in the heart of the peacemakers
who know more of war than any warrior

The greatest mystery in all this world
can be found in the heart of the lovers
who know more of lovelessness than any in isolation

The greatest awakening in all this world
can be found in the heart of the question

These are the safest principles for mankind
as we found ourselves mired in the physical

How can it be escaped?

How long will the children of men worship many gods
all claiming to be the One True God?

Is it not clear there are many?

For one God calls for War
and Another God calls for Peace
and another God calls for the making of things
and another God calls for the ceasing of making
and another God calls for the wearing of certain clothes
and another God calls for the wearing of other clothes
and another God calls for the shaving of heads
and another God calls for the non-shaving of heads
and another God calls for the sacrifice of flesh
and another God calls for the blessing of all things
while yet another God says to worship no other Gods

and these are the simple examples
of which there are greater examples in greater abundance

When the names are changed and put together as one
and the stories are edited and put together to fit one policy
and the lessons are proclaimed from each ones perspective
we have become the very things we claim to have hated!

As they who cannot believe there are any other Gods
deny their God who speaks of other Gods
and they who cannot believe there is only one Godhead
deny their own Gods who proclaim an original source
We who are left have no sense to know

For it can be felt that War and Murder is Just
when warring and murdering in the name of the God
who was the God of War and Murder

And it can be felt that Denial and Suffering is Just
when in denial of our flesh and desires in the name of the God
who was the God of suffering and denial of desire

Though it is that the length and breath of the earth
cannot give proof
how any such God who made the living things upon this earth
did so for the purpose of denial or suffering
nor can it be seen how these things were made
for the purpose of war and murder

Yet our earth is filled
with denial and suffering
war and murder
because of the words of men
who follow Gods they all believe to be the same God
who made everything upon the earth
and everything beyond the earth
even into the heavens

All have claimed Supremacy of their God
Yet none have followed the Way of Supremacy of any God

For a God of war does make war upon a realm
we could never truly imagine
and a God of Peace does make peace upon a realm
we could never truly imagine

So too would a God of abundant Perspective
make a world of abundant life
while a God of destruction
would make nothing at all
destroying instead all that was made
by another source

Yet in order to comprehend where and what and how we are
is to rely upon our own simple senses
to make reason out of unreasonableness
by they who worship the God of Science and Law and Regularity
And the God of human-scale Reasonableness and Logic.

While they who make progress believe in their righteousness
and they who make destruction believe in their righteousness
and they who cover every form of spiritual knowledge
and they who uncover every form of mental nakedness
all believe in their righteousness
because of their limited perspective of their life
even to justifying their grey area between life and death

Yet it could NOT be just
if it was commanded by One God who was Just
otherwise being unjust in creating disorder
in a projection of the Universe that is in order.

I will cease with these simple matters

None need to open their minds
for they are already in worship of their God
None need to open their hearts
for they are already in worship of their God
None need to seek or to find or to ask or to tell
for they are already in worship of their God
None need to obey another God
And None need to repent
unless
They Hate their God
And Desire Another who is truly our Creator of Life
As many do!
