Awakening Peace
The way of peace is the way of life
And resistance to peace is hardship
For the mind of the fearful seek control
And the fear of them is to lose it
He who is at peace with himself
Is also at peace with his neighbour
And he at peace with his brother
Is also at peace with God
A man in peace seeks no control
As fear has abandoned his heart
His spirit walks with all life
For the power of God dwells within him
Peace is not had by want or intellect
But by honest humility of understanding
It is a desire of the heart
But not the of flesh
For it is the spirit which seeks truth
They who desire to control and rule
To set themselves above their brothers
Understand not the ways of God
Nor is wisdom residing in them
As their fear is evident of their lack
He seeks what cannot be found
And desires what cannot be fulfilled
He distracts himself with trinkets
And enhances his lust in the shame of it
For to see himself would be crushing
And to know his cowardice – fatal
But the man of peace walks with God
His spirit lacks for nothing
In earthly poverty he still finds gain
And in earthly trouble he finds growth
For he knows this life is short
And his treasure is found everywhere
As his faith is with God
And God’s faith is eternal
Of a pure heart and honest desire
Ask God for His peace within
Reveal your fears before His throne
That God may remove them
And replace them with peace
For we as a vessel cannot hold both
Nor does God’s spirit live within our fear
Trust God
Above all things seen with human eyes
Above all things heard with human ears
Above all the desires of the flesh
And the need for it to control all things
For the manner of God is to protect
And His will is of love for you
Let God restore your soul
And establish your hands effort
As Man cannot see a turn of events
And God is master of them all
Just as he without peace
Sees ugliness every place he looks
So too does he with peace
Find awesome beauty everywhere
And if for no other reason
Than that of peace
Choose peace that you may have it
And embrace love that you may know it
As the alternative is sorrow and pain
And the end of it is destruction & death.
