Trusting God – Even Now
Greetings to all our brothers and sisters of the family of God, with the care and protection of our Father in heaven and the peace, guidance and wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us consider a few words from our King and Lord Jesus Christ.
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
We can do nothing without the Father. Christ Himself also proclaimed that of His own self, He could do nothing. He instead observed, and judged, and His judgement was sound because it was not from His own perspective that he judged, but the will of the Father. What did he judge? As flesh and blood, his judgement was the state of our condition, from the perspective of our condition. Both the Father and Jesus, who followed the Father, judged darkness, and came to eradicate the darkness we lived in. God the Father’s will for us is that not one person on earth should perish but that we all should have eternal life.
These were the cornerstones of Christ’s life for us: that He came here because of the desire and will of God to save us, that he carried that message of the Father to us, that he connected us to the Father, and that he paid for the darkness of the world to bring light and reveal his resurrection as proof of eternal life.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Our belief in Christ is far more simple than it has been made to be by men. Christ gave us two very simple commands in order to reveal the path of eternal life to us. Those commands were that we love God with all we are, and that we love our neighbor as our own selves. This is of paramount importance in distinguishing the followers of Christ from the powers who use the name of Jesus to deceive and control men.
So I will make this extremely clear.
They who love their neighbor ARE loving God, and they who truly love God ALSO love their neighbor. If a man says he loves God but desires to cheat his neighbor, he does not love God in that desire and is a deceiver even to himself. If a man says he follows God but willfully harms his neighbor, he is a liar and is not acting in the way of God. If a man claims he loves Jesus and believes Jesus but also judges his neighbor and condemns him, he is not true and not living in truth. There is only One whose judgement is true, and that one is God. Not even Jesus judged with his own mind or will or desire, but instead followed the will of God; the very same will that desired all should have eternal life. We all have made these errors, but by God’s grace we repent of them.
Christ blood was enough to pay for all sin. Let us say this again, Christ blood was enough to pay for all sin of the earth since the beginning of time unto the end of it. Why? Because he came from the Father’s bosom and is one with the Father. The Father is all things, the source of all things. Not one thing exists without the Father, not even darkness. Even the darkness before us now on this earth is within the power and control and will of God. We are not to marvel at it, for it is such darkness and horror that of ourselves we will be consumed by it without God’s protection.
Many a good man and woman today, who do seek to trust God and believe in Christ are becoming consumed with fear and anger. Many have fallen to worry of the current state of terrors by the powers of nations, the loss of freedoms and the lack of security in our world of strife. This has touched us all, and seeks to consume us all into its terror. All of us on the earth are bearing witness in these troubled times. Now more than ever do we need to consider with great vigilance our commitment to trust God. For without the protection, direction and care of God, we will fall and join the ranks of emotional, intellectual, spiritual or physical violence upon the earth.
It is the natural state of the flesh to protect itself, to protect its belongings, to defend its own. The flesh does perish, and it is the spirit of man, the thing inside that is YOU that is offered eternal life. We set down the ideas of the flesh as “righteous”, putting them instead second to our Spirit which does have choice in our actions, whereas the flesh has no choice. You and I though, are the observer, for we can witness our own life, and consider our own thoughts and feelings and actions. It is there, in the place of spirit where today we must live above all other places. For God our Father is a spirit, and Christ Jesus went to be with Him in Spirit, and it is in spirit that there is eternal life.
God knows your fears, and God will comfort them if we seek Him. God knows your needs, and will provide those needs if we allow Him to. God knows all your wants and desires and hopes not only for you but also for every living being on the earth. It is of no effort at all for God to provide every last thing. The problem isn’t God, nor is it a problem of power, but it is instead a problem of “where” we live. If we live primarily in the flesh, we are bound to the frailties and rages of the flesh. If we live primarily in the spirit, we are not bound by anything for we are in the flow of God’s power. We can be a channel of that power only through truth. We can be a channel of that power only by releasing our own will and instead joining the will of God, even as Christ did Himself. Our will alone is beset by the flesh, for we are encased in flesh, just as Christ was a man also and therefore denied His own will in favor of the will of the Father.
Yes we are to bear witness to the atrocities of man, especially in this age of vanity and pride and ignorance. It does hurt very much to see our brothers and sisters of the earth be so violent, and selfish and condemning and controlling and harming one another with self pride. This is why we must reach to God even more. For in the presence of God, no man can become sicker. In the presence of God, no man will desire to become wicked or evil. Being in God’s presence is our choice, given to us by God to choose. Gods presence IS here, because everything IS God’s and was given power by God for a time, even darkness. The perception of separation from God IS what darkness is. But darkness will end, and God will end it as He has promised – that we will live an eternal life of joy and peace and wonderment. For now, we must not only wrestle with the flesh, but also with the powers of darkness that are consuming our brothers and sisters.
How do we do this? We continue to follow the commands of Jesus. We will make mistakes, we will unwillingly harm others from time to time. The difference between life and death is the INTENT of our hearts. If our intent is to do good, and we seek God’s power in order to do good, setting aside our own beliefs at what “should be” or how others “should be” then we cannot fail, even when the outcomes appear unfavourable. The world will fail, the world will continue to do harm. We cannot stop this, it is prophesied. Even Jesus himself did nothing of himself. Instead, we ourselves do not have to contribute to the harms of the world. Let us keep in mind that we are to love our neighbor as ourself, and by doing so we are also loving God and loving Christ.
So if you see another in danger, help them. It does not matter who it is. If you see an enemy about to perish, rescue him. He is your brother. If you see a mob, flee from it as even Jesus fled the mobs. Do not participate in the activities of the rousers of anger. Be a giver, a light, a place of safety for those who are in need. For as Christ is our place of safety, and God the Father is His place of safety, so too are we to be a place of safety for our brothers and sisters of the earth for we are the Children of God.
Matt 5:9 “Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the children of God”
Listen not to the words of pastors or preachers who riddle and try to expose the evil of men with big words and twisted conspiracies. They know not at all what they say. God knows the evil of men, and God will stop or allow all things to be or not to be as He wills it for His purpose of the end of this age. It is not our purpose to punish, expose, fight, argue, condemn others, or change the course of history. It is our purpose to bring light to darkness, and of ourselves we have no light but the light within that Jesus and the Father gave us through the Holy Spirit. We cannot bring light without God, and without God we cannot see our own darkness in order to give it to God to heal. Therefore we must pray often to continue to draw near to God so that God will reveal all things to us and cleanse us.
Listen not to your own mind, and the fear within, as though they are truth. Instead give all thoughts of fear to God. Ask God to take your fear and to restore you to faith. Fear is the opposite of Faith, and Faith is more than just hope – Faith is true serenity, for in God’s hands there is peace within the spirit. See? Remember that fear is of the flesh, and you are not your flesh. You are a spirit with a name.
Listen not to the anger of your emotions as though they are truth. The emotions are connected between the flesh and the spirit, and without the rule of the spirit to control them, they will overcome us. How do we have our spirits rule above our flesh and emotions? We have to have God’s power to do so. That is the simple constant to all things, for nothing exists without God and without God nothing changes either. God is in control of the universe. God is in control of ALL life. We need not force anyone to do anything with our anger. To do so is to separate from God (word to the wise) and to once again become judge, jury and accuser as our enemy death (Satan) is.
This is what is before us today brethren. Have we made the right choice? Have we chosen, everyday, no matter what we see or feel or think, to follow God instead of our own will? Our will alone is fruitless and ruled by the flesh. Our will, when instead used to follow God’s will, becomes also powerful and ruled by nothing. Each and everyday, and indeed sometimes in every moment, is it good for us to continually ask God into our moments, to guide and give His consideration to. God wants to help us and protect us and feed us and teach us of the great wonders of the Universe. He waits only for us to ask, and to continue asking as the foundation of our lives. For it is the continuation of God’s will that is the continuation of everlasting life.
Pray for those who are scared and suffering. Pray for those who are afraid and worried. Give to those who hunger and thirst. Give to those who are in need of help and safety. Speak words of goodness and acceptance and welcoming. By doing so, you are revealing God to those brothers who know not God. Give your fears, angers, outrage and heartache to God. By doing so you open the doors within your spirit to God. It is in fact how we pour out the wine of old to God so that He pours in the new wine of understanding, grace, peace, and wisdom. God will reveal all you need to know in each and everyday if we continue to seek and ask. He has absolute power and it is never ever a burden to God to help you. He has unlimited power, unlimited attention and knows every detail of everything in every second. So speak to God often, and ask God to help you overcome the powerlessness of this world that lingers within you – and He will.
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 7:13 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
