Preserving Clarity in Darker Days

Greeting to the churches of the earth, with the Mercy and Peace of God the Father, and the Love and Honor of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Many things in our world today, set in motion, out of our control, have the power to deceive us all into fear and uncommon sense, action or thought.  Otherwise decent men and women will suddenly do acts unthinkable to others in order to do what they in their own hearts believe is right.  Not one of us is above the potency of this power of fear, but there is one Greater, who has all Power, and that one is God.

The time is now for clarity in our spirits, as to that which is of Life and that which is of death.  These are the two choices before us in all things that we say and that we do.  With our mouths we speak only 1 of 2 things, either a blessing or a curse.  I can greet my fellow with joy, or curse my fellow with gossip.  With the intent of our hearts do we devise with 1 of 2 things, either desire for goodness, or desire for selfishness. I can either think about buying my grandson a gift, or I can think about scolding the clerk at the store for short changing me.  With the works of our hands, we act with 1 of 2 things, either we create a new thing, or we destroy a created thing.  I can either help a homeless person find a meal, or I can beat a man in a bar fight. Understand with your spirit these words.

We either heal or harm, give or take, bless or curse, support or break, create or destroy.  This truth from God do we find in Deuteronomy chapter 30, and though these words were given to Israel, are they still bound to all men and women of the earth to this day.  It was a time of further education, evolution of thought and adjustment for man.  We were taught a new thing we did not know.  We as a people are unable to command anything with our hearts, minds, mouth, intent, will or body, except for acts of Life or acts of Death.  The only other choice is to make no choice at all, to be apathetic or lukewarm.  To be lukewarm  is to abandon the very purpose of your life on earth, humanity and also to abandon your rights and your God given choice.  We then become as worthless to our own selves and all others for each thing we ourselves have not chosen.  Better it is to be against life, than to be without choice as the animals are.

We are not animals, yet we dwell in animal bodies.  We have been given discernment and the right to choose the path of good or the path of evil. Many stress the word “evil” like it is gonna “get you!”.  I tell you that you need not fear that word. In simpler terms it can also be defined as the choice between healthy and unhealthy.  We make those choices for our bodies with what we put into them, we also make those choices with our hearts with whom we associate with, and most importantly, we make the real choice with our spirit. These choices, though made with the best intent and in the image of life as we know it, will also often have a darkness hidden from us.  It is part of the instinct of our flesh that often leads us in our choices. Then society itself promotes the rationale of fear, masking it as healthy, when it is unhealthy. We will hear that we need to be afraid, be scared, protect ones self, destroy your enemies, fear God!  Horror and lies.  I say there is no life for the spirit in words of fear, condemnation, and self. Yes the body is concerned with its survival, and it always shall be, but the spirit is greater than the body, and we do ultimately have a choice. Some will say “Even Jesus said not to fear man but fear God for he can take our everlasting life.”  Yes, these beautiful words and ideas were expressed, but it was men seeking control and power who told us what they meant.  So let me help bring a little light to these important quotes.  Jesus was not speaking in order to cause fear, but in order to cause JOY!  For we His people are in His hand, and He is in the hand of God and no one can take us from that… No one can destroy our ACTUAL life or spirit BUT God.  Understand?

Our works did not save us, for if they did we would not have need of Christ.  We were saved from darkness by His revelation of Truth restored!  Neither did sin destroy our eternal spirit because Jesus paid for those things, saving us from the darkness, and only God can end our soul. Only God can end our spirit. Only God the Father can end our Eternal life.  Yet we must believe these things in order to comprehend the understanding of them.  If I believe water will quench my thirst, I will drink the water.  If I do not believe it will help, I will not do it.  See? So in believing the words of Life do we make our own covenant with God to restore the words of life into our hearts, and when this happens we begin to ACT the works of LIFE just as our Lord Jesus did and instructed us to do!  Therefore we need not fear man, his punishment, his judgement of how bad we are for loving God more than we love Things. All men and all women will stand before God, from the greatest saint, to the greatest fool.  Remember the words of Jesus when He told us that Our Father in Heaven has never judged man, but gave judgement to Him and instructed Him to bring salvation to us.  More LIFE!  Light from dark, healthy, sound and wise from unhealthy insane and foolish. Our Father in Heaven is not a God to fear, but a God to run to and hold close for protection against the tumult of this life on earth because of the lies of darkness.  SO let us understand that the only One to fear is God because only God can end our life (and no other), combined with the understanding that we do not need to fear God because God is the one trying to save our life for all eternity, and love us and protect us and awaken us from darkness… the very darkness of fear. God is our Eternal Parent, understand we are His children.  Yes to our Father and to our Lord are there those who are close, and those who are distant, all in spirit, just as we may have a child who is near and a child who is distant also in emotion or spirit or even physical distance.  But those concepts found in the bible are of the spirit.

So then, how do we choose wisely to follow the path of Life once we have made the choice to do so?

It is simple!  First we decide that we desire life, to live in the flow of life and contribute to life.  We do that which Jesus Christ did teach us.  We LOVE one another.  We give, we forgive, we accept, we help, we offer support, we care, we uphold, we strengthen, we enlarge, we embrace, we treat all others as we ourselves wish to be treated.  Others WILL treat us wrong sometimes, but we are not to judge them, punish them, curse them, destroy them, or harm them. In all ways of love, we do these things of love with wisdom.  I do not say to the scorpion that it is a bad scorpion for stinging me, because it has done what a scorpion does.  Nor do I try to convince the scorpion that it should change, for it is doing what God made it do.  I avoid the scorpion.  This too is true of humanity, for if we are near one who has chosen the path of death, in any given event or moment, then let us depart as we would depart from a viper.  Even Jesus fled when the crowds wished to seize Him. Instead, pray for those who wish to harm you, for if they have love and blessings, they would not wish to harm anyone.  All men before God are my brothers, but not all men will be brothers to us.  So therefore let us be brothers to them, showing them by our acceptance and wisdom that we have found joy and peace in ourselves through the gifts God has given us. We shall be the example, for they who cannot see – because not one of us will ever know when God may open their eyes!  When another offends, go to them with love, with humility, with desire to make things good between you.  Speak to them of this desire to make good with them, that we love them and wish them no harm and that we too are sorry if we have offended them.  Make restitution if it is needed.  They may hear you or they may not, but God does hear you and see your effort for peace and will reward you with understanding and grace.  If they do not hear you, or reject you, you have still made your peace and honored God.  Simply depart and continue your journey.  Our job is not to offend, but to be an example of everlasting peace and Godliness.

We preserve our clarity by following the principles of Spirit given to us by the example of Jesus Christ. We accept that our flesh and minds and instincts can quickly direct us away from peace and understanding into fear. Therefore we give to God our minds and instincts and fear by honestly admitting to God that we are troubled, and ask God to take those things from us and replace them with His Holy Spirit. All things are made clear within the Holy Spirit, and the illumination of our perspective changes quickly when we are following God in that day, rather than following our own human natural concerns. No man or woman will ever do this perfectly, so it is normal to sometimes have to offer ourselves to God in service of His Will many times in a day. We do this everyday, for quickly can we get mired down into the flesh, and the flesh is very convincing that its way is right!

It is easy to comprehend the difference. For the Spirit is without fear, even when we do not know what to do next, and the flesh is always concerned with self preservation and worry about how to survive and get for itself. The task Christ set before us is not a difficult one, but one of peace, joy, understanding and greatness.  Peace is the path of life!  Kindness is the path of Life.  Brotherly love is the path of Life.  Compassion and care is the path of Life. By living in the spirit are we easily able to perform such beautiful acts, but when we are stuck in our flesh it is difficult. Even so, that is when it is most important that we acknowledge our condition, and make a decision to try to love and offer peace even when we are troubled ourselves. For the desire to do God’s will, even when we are troubled ourselves, is highly loved by God, for that is part of God’s own heart.

Seek where you may be of service to your fellows, freely and without seeking gain, but instead to give love and help.  Many will not thank you anyway, so instead rely on God to be your provider.  A young brother does not know to say Thank you, nor do we serve him for thanks. So too are many in the world oblivious to Love, but we do not love them in order that they love us, nor do we curse them for not giving us praise!  Instead, we love them so that we LIVE in harmony with greatness and joy, rather than sorrow of confusion.   We too can understand them, as we understand the very young and accept them.  Give without thinking of reward or praise, for in our eternal Life will all things be known.  This is how we begin to walk through darkness without fear, without anger and without confusion – for to even begin to try choosing life does God open our eyes to more life.

Indeed life on earth is often difficult, painful, heartbreaking and against the hope in our hearts. We often have to strive just to feed ourselves, to have shelter and clothing, to be able to be washed and clean, to be able to find rest. These are the days of endurance spoken of by Paul the Apostle. It is not difficult to become lost in hopelessness at times. Take heart that thousands and millions of our brothers and sisters have found peace and the light of God right in the darkness moments of their lives. We have those stories for a reason, and that reason is to remind us that God is always with us, and often saves us directly and powerfully when we have stumbled the furthest down. Our brothers and sisters had an awakening so profound, they spent the rest of their lives sharing the experience with others in order to help lift them up and support them to become free also. God can turn any dark moment into a transformative awakening of His power. The choice is ours to continue to choose whether we want to follow the path of life, or the path of death. Let us all always pray for one another, that our sorrows are not long, that our hunger is not great, that our safety and peace is restored quickly when anyone is in difficulty. It is by choosing life and choosing to trust in God that we get through the times when we are not clear and are afraid.

Consider always that we have but two choices, we speak, act and create our intent from one choice or the other. To remain clear, we must choose LIFE, for the other choice leads us astray into the lie of isolation and bondage.

It is a lifelong awakening, and one where we ourselves will find many areas of our own spirit which can now be open to healing rather than to suffering.  No one can draw near to Life without obtaining more Life, for God is Life and God is Love.  All who draw near to darkness are made more blind by it, and all who draw near to God are made more aware of Life by God.  These things we cannot avoid, for in all we think, desire, say or do… we are creating either Life, or destroying it.  Seek life, embrace the good others do, lift them up, speak of those things you love about others, speak of how you saw a beautiful thing, share with the world art, creativity, passion, joy, peace and the warmth of God’s spirit as He guides you ever more to the power of Life all around us always.  With these simple tools given to us by Jesus Christ, we overcome ALL things, even the most difficult times, for Christ overcome even death by the very same manner.
