Marriage Un-Commentary

Timeless Connection Beyond Social ConstructsMarriage is seen as a union beyond societal laws or structures, transcending the limits imposed by human design. This connection is described as a cosmic, predestined bond that cannot be controlled or fully understood by external authorities.

Soul Recognition and Life-Long VisionTrue love is presented as an internal vision carried by both individuals from youth, a profound sense of knowing one’s soulmate even before meeting. This bond resonates deeply within each person, shaping how they perceive and recognize each other’s souls.

Unity in Essence and ExistenceThe union of two lovers creates a complete oneness, affecting every realm of life and even reshaping their very identities. This connection is so powerful that it brings each partner into the other’s life as an extension of themselves.

Sacred Vulnerability and HonestyWithin this love, trust, honesty, and fidelity are intrinsic and essential. Betrayal within such a union is self-destructive, emphasizing the deep, unbreakable trust required to honor the other as a reflection of oneself.

Struggle Against Forces Opposing LoveAcknowledging the challenges faced by true lovers, the poem describes how forces work against those meant to be together. Yet, even amidst strife, the lovers find solace in their intimate bond, remaining undeterred by worldly discord.

Marriage Un-Commentary

Every union is as a great musical score
Bringing forth light and sense and destiny
Unburying our grave of passion
Taking us between the line

All things are under the law of the Universe
Many things are under the law of man
Some things are designed for mankind
To mold and to shape as they see fit

There is a doorway between life and death
Not unlike the place of sleeping dreams
Where two or more can walk together
Discovering the unseen realm of perfected awakening

So cherished is this bond
That two literally become as one
Effecting then everything else
In every other realm

As it is known often that one lover will die
And then the other does perish of the broken heart
So also is it common for them to know each other
Even before they met

When a man can be honest to himself
He will see that he has always had a vision
Of his great love in his heart and minds eye
Even when he was a youth
And he judged all others against what he knows
Comparing them to his lifelong desire

When a woman can be honest to herself
She will see that she has always had a vision
Of her great and safe surrender
Designed in dreams of vast kingdoms
Even from her youth
Comparing everyone to her desired liberation

When a man has carried a vision all his days
He will find no great love from anyone
Save the one already in his heart
Who brings aching to his bones without

When a woman has carried a vision all her days
She will find no great love from anyone
Save the one already in her heart
Who brings her true soul into the light when near

When two or more have found each other
Of they who have always been in their hearts
Amidst all the other peoples of the earth
They can no longer dwell in the solitude of their lives
It is a living death to continue on in separation

And though all things may outwardly be unlikely
And the intellect is not balanced between
And the emotional palace is not equal
And the spiritual essence is of two former paths
There is another power of ancient importance
That brings them together
In such a way that is profoundly obvious to them

As if the Heavens themselves stopped for a moment
Took notice
And moved mountains
So that they may embrace one another

It is sorrow
That we no longer see such unions often
In our world today

It is sin
That we have allowed the law of men
To stand between lovers

For tell me of any man or any woman
Who may rightly judge
The love between lovers?

How can anyone who has not shared my bed
Know of anything of the passages in my life
Or the boundaries of my personal self
Or the revelations of my beautiful lesson
Shared with another in daily union?

I can look and see the eyes of a child from their mother
And the formation of their face from their father
And witness the like-mindedness of their generations
These perceptions are easy and usual
But when we have found a great love
We can see our very own soul in the eyes of our mate
And we can see the countenance of our own face in their face
And we witness the like spirited eternal oneness
As if they who stand beside us is our very self
Living as another in disguise

And where can it be shown
That an outsider would see this also?
Nowhere can it be proven
Except between they who share in it.

In this predestined shared vision
Honesty is not optional
Nor is fidelity a question
For to harm the other with lies and mistrust
Is as beating oneself with barbed clubs

And it must be said
Because it is often recalled of the blessed
That there is also another power
Set against those who are meant to be together
Undermining all around them
Even of impossible occurrences

But it is known even amidst great strife
That just as a Bird cannot say he is not a Bird
Nor can these lovers say they are not lovers
For even in their discord with the world
There is a greater blessing
Found in the simple things and the intimate.

Without the great revelation and awakening
Shared in the unspoken bond
Are we lost with a stranger
Are we self deluded because of an impatient will
Are we still comparing

When instead to embrace our lifelong vision
Do we find perfected purpose and liberation
In one area of our life
Yet even it grows and the vision now grows
Whereas all other areas remain forever insecure

Tell me then how anyone could decide how it should be
Or mandate how it should be
When how it IS was designed far before any of us?

So long as we listen to ourselves
