Emakume Misteriotsua
A man may forget
The lass he adored
While looking upon the grace
She has become
Even so he seeks her
A man will not let go
Of the vision of her youth
While separating her
From the woman now before him
Even so he desires her
The one speaks of his heart
Challenged by his spirits call
While the other speaks of his flesh
Challenged by his hearts longing
Where flesh does speak volumes
In passion do we lay
That in time we shall bring
Understanding
Even so he must overcome
It all
For the folly of love
Is the joy of the young
And the practise of true love
Is his discovery
Until such time he reconciles himself
And bares witness to God’s child
Within her.
There then may he set down
The conflict of his time
Bridging history and beauty
Together
That all of her presents whole
Awakening himself
To the lesson of loves purpose
Oh how man seeks
what is already there!
And how he wonders
At what has already been answered!
Even more how he dreams
Of what is already his!
For his loins may take the first step
Without even seeing her
And his heart may take the next
Without even knowing her
And the spirit waits in wisdom
Without his awareness of it
Yet somehow we know
What could not be known
To the ritual thus performed.
I say the thrill of the chase
Is delightful to me
And the commitment of life
Is righteous even to my bones
But the gift of God’s patient word
Bound only between two in love
Softens even the heart
Of the violent man
Calms the mind
Of the tempest of man
Soothes the charge
Of the ambitious man
Directs the eyes
Of the wayward man
And opens the spirit
Of the lost boy within man.
That she has cared for us
Through all of these
That we may care for her
Without seeking
Without seeing
Without hearing
Without needing
Without loss of any kind
But rather gain at our Father’s
Revelation of her
And our great gift of love
For her
Now discovered desire
Of that mighty kingdom
Built within us for her
Formerly unaware
In flesh and blood
And heart and soul
And spirit of life everlasting.
Girl to Woman to Mother to Grand
How beautiful are all indeed!
That we are revealed of her
Not by the seeking of her
But when our will instead
Is set on God.
