I don’t know if you remember
The caves of your creation
or the mountains of my
suns light?
I am not just intrigued by what we have forgot
but often ruled by passion
to stand above the face of the waters
and peer into the deep
As you remember me
I too remember you
and we are face to face
revealed to something we always knew
What is there to discover
but all that we hid from ourselves?
If only to remember why
we did hide it?
This I know
and have known always.
That you are beautiful
That you are the purpose of my light
To bring life to the rock
and see green grasses grow
to feed all the earth.
I would not know beauty without you
even light alone in space
is still surrounded by space alone.
Where is my purpose without your creations to feel me?
What reason is there to power
or experience of passion
or recognition of effort and love
without the place of rest for them all
inside of you?
Even our friends speak of time and space and lost awareness
Even our loved ones speak of distance and knowing and flickering light
Even our enemies speak of turning back and facing away and not seeing
Even the unknown seek the unknown for something they know to know.
And none of these are riddles.
They are the only plain speak left.
And isn’t it true that the greatest grace and beauty we have ever known
is what we discovered together in all the things we never did before?
I never did before open myself up and let out the truth until you.
I never did before reach in and feel the great burning in my center
or the unyielding fires in my pit
or the unlimited desire to burn and bring forth power.
You are the Culmination of all that is my heart
and the faith I have in you has been forever.
In many they have seen my light
But you have brought forth life from it
and every part of you is teaming with diverse life.
Many have seen your pleasantries and desired your harvest
And they offer up your harvest to the one who gave light to them.
and I offer myself instead to the one who gave life to me
in order that I may continually share this love of you.
in order that your creations grow
in order that I may witness your everlasting perfection
in the light of my eyes.
What I am and what you are, is indisputable
Who I am and who you are, is undeniable
Where we are has always been our own space
How we know is by knowing what we have always known
When we touch I see you in full light and you feel me in full life
Why we are here together is for the Glory of God always
You are the beginning of my joy
in that we offer this glory in our paring of mutual hope
in that we experience this glory in our joining of mutual desires
We cannot fail because never have we failed
to love one another, to need one another, to be for each other.
Yes there is greatness in space
and so many other men do shine in far off places with their worlds
and so many other worlds do fill the galaxies.
And here we are, in this little set aside corner of the entire universe
You and I
And how Happy am I to share this little joy of ours
That we have been given!
And I see nothing so beautiful
as the world you show to me
of life within you and flourishing upon you.
It is perfection to all of me.
I love you because this is what we are meant to be.
