365 Days
I shall never forget
The first glance
The first hug
The first kiss
The first embrace
Nor can the turning of the world
Upon our first celebration together
Escape the sacred places of my heart
For chiseled in stone was the image of her
As an Ancient Creator always remembered
On that day was our life established
So that no stone of the path could be taken away
Nor could it be uncounted
Forgoing what rationale our world obeys
For those very things desired
And to this exact moment still
While with experienced consideration
With sight upon the course itself
Does another turn of the world
Stand counted
And all that was lost along the path
Was left where it was meant to be
And all that was gained in the losing of it
Found truth to the light of what we discover
That regardless now and forever – is love
As nothing in this realm can stand
Except for the shedding of our limits
Bought and paid for in the moments most human
Where everything directs to distract
As love stands alone – eternal
And never shall I look upon the age of this world
In the eyes of her where my love resides
But to the everlasting beauty and strength
Of this Woman’s most perfect spirit
Hidden not from me even by time’s mirror
For she was remembered before she was formed
And considered before she was presented
And sought after before she was found
In this place we both had slept
And of which is ceaseless in its dream of endings
As the passing of the ages of time
Survives only under the sun
And in no other place found
Are we not as we are always
So too is her life known to me – perfect
This my heart sings
For what is perfect in Heaven
Is perfect even on Earth
Where love resides in the spirit of life
Even more do we then see perfected beauty
For that we say – Happy Birthday
To mark under the sun its images
But from my heart and life to hers
Do I remember her always eternal
Nor shall I ever forget her earthly gifts
Happy Birthday to my Wife – now and forever
