The Faith of Children

Faith Beyond Human Understanding True faith is not based on knowledge or logic but on trust in God. Like a child holding a parent's hand without fear, faith must transcend human calculations and doubts.

The Corruption of Innocence The world seeks to erode faith through suffering, betrayal, and loss, making trust in God seem foolish. Yet, faith is not about avoiding pain but about enduring it with spiritual confidence.

The Battle Between Flesh and Spirit The flesh is vulnerable to fear, pride, and deception, but the spirit remains untouched. The dark manipulates the physical world to weaken faith, yet true strength lies in spiritual awareness.

The Eternal Perspective of Faith Life’s hardships are temporary, but the reward of faith is eternal. Loss, pain, and trials serve a greater purpose in awakening the soul to God’s presence and design.

Living as God's Children Faith calls for humility and trust, not in worldly wisdom but in God’s plan. Our purpose is spiritual, and through our talents and humility, we fulfill our divine calling while God watches over us.

The Faith of Children

The cost of faith can be ever high
Committed to without knowing the price
Dearly we pay in human experience
Quietly we wait often for meaning

But that is not the way of faith!
For it is not of flesh, but of spirit
It is not of knowing, but of trusting
It is not of man, but of God

For as a man do we calculate danger
Striving always to come out ahead
Yet each and every one does fall
And all that we know does wither

Our flesh suffers losses
Our loved ones depart the earth
Our friends may turn against us
Our loyalties prove to be folly
Indeed often are we betrayed
Very often do we live in others lies

And then we question why?
Had we not faith? Did we not trust?
Why have we so much pain
When we put our trust in God?

And here is where we have gone astray!

For faith is not of our outside world
Nor is it about our wrathful enemy
Instead it is a lesson of the real life
Found taught in the school of children

As a boy I took my father’s hand
And walked across a danger divide
Not one thought of worry entered in
Because my dad was watching over

As a boy I took my mother’s hand
And walked through many strangers
Not one thought of worry entered in
Because my mother was watching over

But this world does have danger galore
And outcomes are sometimes terrible
This so that I would lose that faith
And curse my trust in my parents

But lo – have I got it all wrong
As my parents were trying to protect!
It was another who did wish destruction
And to corrupt a child before choice

And not for me, and not for my parents
But for all of us to fall before we stand
So that the day would come
That I could have no faith in God
As it was destroyed before I knew Him

So to the child do I return
And look upon his reasoning
Ignorance was key in that faith
What I did not know made safe

AHH now do I understand
For my pride as man has offered knowledge
I think I know what I think I know
As the mind calculates dangers

But this is true for this old soul
That I know as little of spirit
As a man
Exactly as I knew little of the world
As a boy

So shall it be accepted

But my bones believe my eyes
And my heart believes my fears
And my flesh believes my predictions
So that I think I know what I don’t know
And I believe I believe the truth

So this day do I say
There is nothing I know I know
Except what God has shown me
For committed to God is faith determined
While spirit outweighs the mind of men

Held to heart the faith of Children
Held to heart the desire of God
Held to heart the protection of life
Not of flesh but of the eternal spirit

All that seemed bad when bad took place
Later on revealed an awakening
All that was stolen was done in darkness
And the light of faith’s reward
Shines bright upon the greater gain

I shall practise the faith of children
And stop believing I see the danger ahead
For time and time again proved true
That God was watching over

This world is always full of troubles
And suffering does man endure
So I shall turn my eyes to God’s design
Seeking kingdom of life above darkness

If I may share from my own experience

Touch not the dark any longer
It is a far greater intellect than us
Flee quickly from they who destroy
Depart from they who spread fear
Listen not to those who curse
Heed not those who shame
Fear not those who can wound
Obey not those who command evil
Look not upon the lust of man’s greed
Judge not what the eyes see
Nor what the ears hear
Trust not your own mind
And pray for all who are as such

For this world is the world of darkness
Yet the world of LIFE is also here
But it is found in spirit alone
And not by the greatness of flesh

The dark may enter the flesh at will
And stir fear and panic and pride
But our spirits it cannot touch
So it deceives the flesh to control us

Thus I shall hold my Father’s hand
That my spirit rise above my bones
In faith and peace of the outcomes
That God established before me

Who can we be but children of God?
For evil itself roars against us
Not because of our flesh
As all things physical find the grave
But because of our spirit are we abused
So that we forget all trust in God

The reward of faith
In our eternal spiritual life
Is greater than all loss on earth
Its purpose is that we remember
That we are God’s kids
Doing works on earth for now
Until our task is done
As I have a human job
For all human needs
So too do we all have a Spiritual job
Found in our talents and humility
For the needs of our eternal life

While our Father watches over
Holding our hand
